Shoe designer for a day

L1300424L1300414L1300457L1300394L1300383To be very honest, I was never a big sneakers girl. But now I realized I just haven’t found the right ones. Few months ago I was asked to be an ambassador for My Swear shoes and got a chance to design 2 pairs of sneakers. Was a bit worried at first, as I definitely don’t have a big knowledge in shoe design. But all it took was 20min sitting in a coffee shop with my laptop. I chose the style, material and color for different shoe parts and decided on little details, such as laces etc. Received them in few weeks and they even have my initials on. Big thank you, My Swear! xx

The most photogenic supermarket I’ve ever been to. Just had to be recorded!

My Inspiration Girl

My favorite looks from the shows. Don’t know why, but even in fall winter season I’m drawn to light and color palette. Yes, black is very refined and so easy, it is hard to get it wrong. But there’s something so attractive about taking risks and not being afraid to get it wrong.

I have a great friend Lingzi Zhang, who never owned a basic t-shirt. She said ‘What’s the point, if you can get it from any of your boyfriends’. She came to visit me in Milan once and we went to Sonar in Barcelona together. She showed up in yellow jumpsuit and heels straight from the airport. All the stuff in her suitcase was either color or print. We lived in Hong Kong together, went out every night and loved dressing up. But not like me, she never though too much about creating an outfit and didn’t take long to leave home. She doesn’t care what others think of her, but yet I think she’s the most stylish girl I know. I always picture her before buying those crazy ‘very unsafe’ shoes.

Miss you, Lingzi and can’t wait for you to visit me in New York! xx

Real at DKNY

One of my everyday Snapchat stories @Noravai

Few days ago I did DKNY show here in New York. I also worked with the team before, saw the process of the collection being put together, trying all the variations of clothes, seeing how they move, how they look on pictures, how they feel etc. We spent long days, stayed until 2am together. At the end it felt like the team became a little family. I can definitely see now why designers call collections their baby. Makes me love the brand even more, when I know that people behind it are so lovely and down to earth. Also, the fact that they casted real New Yorkers for the show and not only models, adds so much character and personality to it. Thank you, DKNY for having me and making me feel like a real New Yorker for a bit.
